I'm tearing up here ... that's so thoughtful. And in a handy pocket edition too, so you can take it anywhere ... even to the footie.

It'll be handy, alright! Just like the Somali shillings I scored last year. I'm hoping her imminent trip to Zimbabwe will also result in some COLD HARD CASH.

Yeah, I'll make you a trillionaire. *nods*.

The kebab shop around the corner has a 500 billion Zim note pinned up above the counter.

I was a millionaire in Turkey but then they dropped six zeroes! But kept Ataturk's handsome face, of course.

I've got a 50 millionen and a 10 millionen mark note from the German hyperinflation of the 1920's, 1923 in fact, among other oddities littering my place.

C'mon, my friend. It's a great gift. I mean, I know other husbands get like Bunnings gift vouchers, cordless drills and after shave. But how many get a pocket version of the UN charter, Khmer Rouge tea towels, Somali shillins, Afghan pakols from Chicken St and other such goodies? This is priceless!!!1!

Argh! Now I'm ashamed for not mentioning all of those other bewt gifts. Especially the pakol and the Khmer scarf!

A KHMER ROUGE TEA TOWEL!!!! KICK ARSE! Shona brought me a soviet soldier's hat from Germany just after the wall cam down, but he was only a private, i would've prefered something rare, like something owned by Putin. Still, not much good if i want to hypothesise on the likely outcome of a court of justice case.

Weird but true, I've been carrying one of those in my purse for years.
